The science behind

The development and research linked to PRP Base CREAM was born from the idea of being able to use the growth factors found in platelets and plasma not only in injectable
form, as widely documented in the literature, but also by conveying them through a cosmetic product for making its use easier and widening its diffusion.

It must also be taken into account that even today, albeit to an ever-decreasing extent, a portion of the population that turns to aesthetic treatments refuse to undergo
injection treatments of various kinds, therefore the use of a product with these characteristics can certainly offer an additional opportunity for these patients too.

The formulation and refinement of the PRP Base Cream required approximately a year
of laboratory tests before reaching the final formulation.

In the end it was possible to start with the testing of the product which saw the company engage in cooperation with the Department of Biomedical and Biotechnological Sciences
of the Catania University which has carried out 2 works, one just finished, to evaluate
the survival of the platelets as well as the duration survival, after the serum has been
added to the PRP Base Cream.
The second, in the pipeline, to evaluate the presence and persistence of some of the
most relevant growth factors normally in the platelets and in plasma.
The results of the first study were very encouraging. In fact, they demonstrated a 15-day survival of the platelets inside the cream, after mixing the plasma, as demonstrated by
the graph.

We therefore asked ourselves what the persistence times were of some growth factors, which we considered most significant for our studies, within the PRP Base Cream, treated with the same procedure used previously, and preliminary data demonstrate that their presence it is certainly prolonged for 3 – 4 weeks from the preparation of the product. At the same time, we began a blind split-face observational study, still ongoing, on patients aged between 20 and 65 years to evaluate the effect of the serum-containing cream compared to the cream alone on facial ageing. Patients are assessed using the Skin analyzer at time zero, before enrollment, 30 and 60 days after the start of treatment. A questionnaire is administered to everyone at time zero and the end of treatment From a preliminary analysis of the data, greater improvements can be seen in the area treated with PRP BASE CREAM added with plasma compared to the contralateral one, although the latter has always shown a certain improvement. The satisfaction rating expressed by patients so far has always been high. The encouraging results obtained stimulate us to proceed with further research and investigation. One of these was the formulation of a lotion that can be added to PRP and used to prevent hair loss, alopecia and post-hair-implant. Also in this case the ongoing studies are very encouraging, with a high level of satisfaction among patients
